On May 1, Jadhav had issued a show-cause notice to Rosary school authorities acting on parents' complaints that the school allegedly hiked its fees illegally and was demanding post-dated cheques from them, failing which students would be expelled from school. In the notice, Rosary School was asked to return the cheques, as it was illegal to collect fees in advance. Jadhav had also mentioned that if the management fails to do so, he would recommend the school education department to de-affiliate the school for holding back results of students over non-payment of fees.
"The school sent me a contempt of court notice. The school has said that it has approached the high court over the issue of fee collection and received permission to hike it. While the matter is pending in court, it says my sending it a notice amounts to contempt of court," he said.u00a0

This isn't the first time that Jadhav has been in trouble over the notice. In the past, parents had approached the deputy director of education demanding Jadhav's resignation stating that he had issued two different notices. According to parents, the notice that came to them said the school was not allowed to collect post-dated cheques, while the notice that went to school said it was allowed by the HC to do so.
