The Central district of the Delhi Police has unearthed a fake visa racket and have discovered that a dismissed police constable is the kingpin of the gang.
The accused, identified as Jagdish Hooda, is on the run while the special staff of the Central district arrested four people in connection with the case.
According to the police, they had received a tip-off that Sarvesh Yadav, 36 and Kandiah Vishwanath, 48, who prepared forged passports, visas, stickers and documents especially for Sri Lankan nationals would come to the Gandhi Darshan Parking, Power House Road, Delhi at about 12 pm for delivery of altered passports.
The two were arrested when they came for the delivery and the police recovered four passports, including two forged Indian passport of Sri Lankan nationals, one laptop, one Canadian Embassy visa sticker and other objectionable documents were recovered.
During interrogation, the two confessed to the police that one of their associates, called Mama living in Munirka, was the right hand of kingpin Jagdish. Mama was apprehended with one Sri Lankan migrant from his house and their identity was disclosed as Pathma Das alias Mama and T Vickna Rajah.u00a0 The police also recovered three passports and paraphernalia to fake papers.
u00a0"The gang had recently sent six Sri Lankan nationals to Tashkent who had been detained by the local authorities there. The gang used to send illegal migrants to different destinations in Europe, USA and Canada on the basis of forged documents," said Jaspal Singh, deputy commissioner of police (Central).

Sarvesh Yadav, 36, is an MTech from Moscow and operates a tour and travels agency at Panchkuyian Road.
Kandiah Vishvanathamuthaly, 48, is a Sri Lankan migrant and used to come to India to send Sri Lankan passengers through India.
