Renowned cartoonist, illustrator and humourist RK Laxman’s coffee table book, Credibly Exaggerated, was launched by Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan yesterday at Nehru Centre, Worli.

Laxman, who is 92, was present with his wife Kamala Laxman.
The book contains 60 caricatures of famous public figures and was done by Laxman at the request of his father- in- law, S A Venkataraman, for the latter's 60th birthday in 1959.
Over 200 caricatures by Laxman are on display at Nehru Centre until January 5. The exhibition, which is curated by Ninau00a0Rege, assistant director, Nehru Centre Art Gallery, also includes Laxmanalt146s popular work, You Said It.
Laxman's daughter-in-law Usha Laxman, who was present at the launch, says, "This exhibition and launch did take a lot of time and effort, but we all are so happy with the end result. He (Laxman) deserves nothing less and I hope people enjoy his book."
The book, which is priced at Rs 1,500, will be available at Nehru Centre till January 5.u00a0
