Noida: A 29-year-old Noida-based woman fashion designer has gone missing from Delhi under mysterious circumstances shortly after she called the police helpine.

Shipra Malik left her home in Sector 37 Noida on Monday afternoon for Chandni Chowk in Delhi and has been untraceable since then.

"A woman fashion designer, who lives in Sector 37 Noida, left for Delhi at around 1.18 PM. Her last location was Lajpat Nagar(South Delhi) from where she called police helpline 100.

From there she went missing. We have registered a complaint. She runs a boutique in Chandni Chowk," Dinesh Yadav, SP (City) Noida, said.
Her Maruti Swift car was found abandoned 500 metres away from her Noida home, police said.

Chetan Malik, her husband who is a local builder, has filed a missing complaint with the Noida police. The family has not received any ransom call as yet, police said.

Chetan said Shipra had told him on Monday that she was going to Chandni Chowk and that his brother had found her car parked with keys insides around 5 PM. He said Shipra's brother stays in Lajpat Nagar and that may explain her going there.

"Her mobile was switched off since that afternoon," he said, adding there was no dispute or enmity with anyone.

Last month, a 25-year-old Snapdeal employee went missing after taking an autorickshaw from the metro station in Vaishali area in Ghaziabad. She returned home after 40 hours, saying her abductors had released her without harming her.
