Father of a three-year-old girl was arrested for kidnapping her, Chandigarh Police said Friday

The girl, Mannat, was found in a house Thursday in Mandi Gobindgarh town of Punjab, 50 km from here, following a raid, an inspector said.
Bhupinder Singh was arrested for kidnapping his daughter Wednesday evening from her mother's house in Sector 27 here.
His accomplice and friend Harjit Singh was arrested from another location for helping him.
Mannat was later handed over to her mother.
Police said Bhupinder was an alcoholic who had strained relations with his wife. He had taken away his son from his wife earlier this week, they said.
