Five reasons why it's cool to catch this bug

Their music isn't just catchy. It's practically contagious. The Guide gives you five reasons why you shouldn't miss the Infected Mushroom's gig tonight, despite the long winding queues...

1. Two words Becoming Insane. No, it's not a description of a rabid fan losing her marbles over their India tour but it's one of the most popular numbers from their 2007 album Vicious Delicious.

With guitar riffs reminiscent of MJ's Beat It, and a catchy chorus "Before I change again / Remind me the story that I won't get insane," it's the song that fans have been holding their breath, to hear live, for long.

2. They're one of the few psy-trance band to have made the transition from niche to mass with collaborations with Paul Oakenfold, Jonathan Davis of u-Metal band Korn (in the track, SmashinG the Opponent) and Perry Farrel of Jane's Addiction (in Killing Time).

3. They have something for everyone. Classic Rock lovers will dig their version of Riders of The Storm, where they've used Jim Morrisson's original voice.

4. Because they're cool enough to sing about food. Let's face it, when was the last time you heard a band sing about food? Heartbreak and angst yes. But a tribute to food? Their previous album, Legend of the Black Shawarma features songs named after their favourite restaurant. While Poquito Mas is a Mexican restaurant in LA they're particularly fond of, Saaed is the band's favourite hummus joint in Israel.

5. The Israel-bred, LA-based duo is known for explosive performances featuring guitars, live drums, and intense vocals against a multimedia backdrop and are supposed to be among the most popular live acts in the world.
