Former MP's son commits suicide

Siddharth Mohol, the 31-year-old son of former parliamentarian Ashok Mohol, committed suicide at his residence in Navi Peth yesterday.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.u00a0

“The deceased had stabbed himself on the chest with a knife in his keychain. His driver brought him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The statements made by Siddharth’s relatives are being recorded, and the investigation is still on,” said AE Sukunde of Vishrambag police station.

It is said that Siddharth was suffering from the prolonged illness, which prompted him to take the extreme step.u00a0
