The band started off as more of a college band that saw success. Schickados is inspired by bands like Coldplay, RHCP, Maroon 5 and artists John Mayer and Jimi Hendrix with such influences, they also perform old Hindi tracks by Md Rafi and Kishore Kumar by adding a little touch of their own to it. "We play these songs at events like corporate gigs because many of them are North Indians and enjoy it a lot. Since the exit of our ex-singer, we've been doing this sparingly these days," says Abhilash.

Schickados have also done a one-minute track for a Kannada serial. When asked how they got to singing both in Hindi and in Kannada, Abhilash says, "It wasn't so much about what language we were singing in. It was just music to us and we didn't care if it was in English, Hindi or Kannada." Would they be singing any regional songs this time around? Abhilash quips, "We are yet to decide the playlist. Come on over and see."
