To begin with the 40 free of cost such surgeries, it will be broadcasted live in a first international conference with live operative workshop on April 29, 30 and May 1 at Westin Hotel at Koregaon Park.u00a0

u00a0Symbiosis Institute of Health Science and Galaxy Care Laparoscopy Institute are jointly organizing the G-ROS 2011 1st international conference on advanced laparoscopy and robotics.

According to Puntambekar, each robotic surgery cost Rs 1 lakh in India but Rs 8 lakh at abroad. It means Galaxi and Symbiosis is spending Rs 40 lakh to operate these patients.

Dr Rajiv Yeravdekar, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Symbiosis International University, said these operations are the continuum of the proposed Rs 300 crore Symbiosis Super Spatiality Hospital and Research Centre.
