When MiD DAY investigated further, it was found that the trucks were carrying carriages and engines to Delhi for the Metro rail.

Asking about the danger of the children sitting on the truck, Imran Khan, the supervisor, said, "We are driving slowly because of the engines on board.
The boys are perfectly safe and are sitting there to balance the weight of the truck. Nothing will happen to them."
Built at Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), the trucks carrying the metro engines and coaches will reach New Delhi in 20 days.
