The atmosphere was tranquil, the experience was relaxing and the session was a stress-buster we are not talking of about a spa, but of an aura scanning session we attended with Shilpa S Inamdar. She is a grand master in Karuna Reiki, a numerologist and a Feng Shui and Vastu consultant at Pranic healer Raju Watwe's clinic.
"The shining halo circling the heads of gods and saints in religious calendars is often interpreted as a symbol of divinity and purity and is called as aura, corona, halo or mana. It is not for gods alone; it is a thermo-electric field that emanates from all matters living or non-living," says Inamdar.
Aura, in its basic form, embodies seven layers powered through seven energy centers called Chakras. It is energised by the Kundalini, situated at the base of the spine, which is the storehouse of vital energy. An aura not only reflects our distinctive personality, but is also a barometer of energy fields within our body, warning us of impending trouble well in advance.
Process: You are lead into a matte-finished white room. It contains a full-spectrum tubelight, which mimics the sunlight wavelength distribution pattern. There is a digital camera attached to a laptop consisting of a software called Intra Spectral Imaging System (ISIS). The spectrum light is turned on to create an electro-magnetic field and you are asked to enter the field in minimal clothing. When the rays fall on the body, they interact with the energy field and there is an absorption as well as reflection of light, which is imaged by the camera with the help of the software. The scanning process takes only ten minutes.
Interpretation: The aura, without interference, appears as a mixture of bright yellow and green. When the subject comes to the front, there is a slight change in colour to indicate the person's health. While the purple colour indicates the good areas of the body, red points out congested or stressed areas. The points which show signs of energy leakage are places where the aura has been punctured and is likely to generate physical problems in the future.

Reading the aura
