In three separate accidents, which occurred within one hour, one biker and two others were seriously injured


Three accidents, one of them fatal, occurred last night between 10:45 and 11:45 pm., making that hour an unlucky one for bikers in Pune yesterday.

In the first case, an unknown biker was found injured by the police on Pune-Nagar Road near Ubale Nagar and was rushed to Sassoon hospital.

The man received severe head injuries. He was shifted to the ICU for treatment but within an hour he succumbed to his injuries.

In the second case, an unknown biker was brought to the hospital by Bhosari police station.

A four-wheeler hit him and his bike skidded. Police found him outside the College of Military Engineering campus entrance gates and rushed him to the hospital.

Doctors at Sassoon hospital diagnosed him with multiple injuries. He was reported to be in a serious condition at the time of going to press.

At Pimpri's YCM hospital, patient Radhu Dilip Khandive (20), was brought to the hospital by other locals in an injured condition.

Khandive, who is a resident of Khed met with an accident at Chakan when a four-wheeler hit his bike from behind and fled the spot.

At the time of going to press, Randive was undergoing a CT scan and other examinations but was reported to be in a stable condition.
