Ask your mom how tough it was to raise you, change your nappies at four in the morning, feed you right in the middle a gathering, miss those late night shows so that you sleep comfortably in your cradle and narrate bedtime stories after a hard day's work.

Parenting, you'd know, is the toughest of jobs, and authors, counselors and peer groups have been attempting to make it easier from time to time. Now, a new portal on the block is trying to simplify motherhood by connecting moms across the capital to each other.

The website hosts several features to help young mums take the best decisions for their child, like school reviews, tips on ways to bring on labour naturally, information about adoption services, kids medical problem, pregnancy-related queries, vaccination chart, tips for kids' online safety, blogs from fellow mothers, a section on frequently asked questions and much more.

"When I moved to India after a long stay in the US, I faced many parenting problems, especially those related to schooling and doctors, because there was not one platform where reliable information could be accessed. That was when I decided to launch this portal, the concept of which is very popular abroad", says Bhivani Raman, founder.

It's free and you don't need to register separately for this portal, your Gmail ID is sufficient. Once you're part of the gang, you can even interact with mothers of your colony, schedule school pickup and drop facilities, meet doctors, share healthy recipes and help your kid interact with young ones of the same age group and locality.

"I chanced upon this portal while wilfing, and within a very short span of time, got to interact with people my age, who were sharing problems similar to mine. Together, we discuss our hardships and try resolving them", says South Delhi resident Mani Singh, who's a teacher and part of the 350-member gang. Mama mia, a must click.
