Young professionals in Gurgaon and Faridabad tell MiD DAY they want better infrastructure and enhanced security from whoever forms the next government in the agrarian state

Though the Haryana electorate has given a mixed mandate with both the Congress and Indian National Lok Dal claiming victory in the Assembly polls, the voters have their priorities right.

Much before the state gets its new government, people in the NCR towns of Gurgaon and Faridabad are expecting their concerns regarding infrastructure, law and order and civic amenities to be addressed.

Due to their proximity to Delhi, a lot of people from the national capital visit these cities daily for work.

Apart from development of general infrastructure like roads and flyovers, people are expecting personal grievances like shortage of parkingu00a0 space in Gurgaon to be solved by the new government.

Residents of Faridabad want cleaner and better roads besides enhanced security.

Some residents also demanded strict regulations on the sale of liquor at roadside dhabas in both the towns, as they pose a "law and order problem".

The new government may take time to be formed and spell out its programme for the state but the people are hopeful that at least this time their prayers will be answered.

They have their their fingers crossed till they get their voting finger inked, yet again.
