Expert talks
Talking about corporate funds and the ongoing scams, Vikas Gupta, advocate, Pathways Legal Consultants, said, "In the year 2000, KP scam shocked the country, but nothing happened to the stock market. After the 2G and Satyam fraud, we reached a state of inertia. One should be really careful about the fraudulent companies prevailing in the market. There is no dearth of good companies. It depends on you, which company you choose."
The session was then opened for students, to discuss, ask questions and clear their doubts. Mayank Kumar Sharma, one of the CS students present at the conference, asked, "Do you think there will be any more scams in the country?"
"It is highly possible that we have scams of even higher magnitudes. The size of the economy is increasing by the day. All of us need to participate in the economy. The youth of our country is extremely talented. The kind of attitude and confidence level they have is very encouraging," Gupta added.
