The deceased has been identified as M Chandrashekar, a resident of Ramamurthy Nagar. He was working as an officer in the accounts section at the ISRO office on 80 feet road, J B Nagar. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.

Extreme step
According to the police, Chandrashekar was suffering from bouts of depression and had recently been under treatment. He reached office at 7.30 am, signed the register, entered his chamber and then hanged himself by using an electrical wire. The victim had not locked the door to his office and a housekeeper discovered his body at 8.30 am while cleaning. The police were informed and they rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for an autopsy.

Pre-planned?
Employees usually reach office at around 8.30 am, but Chandrashekar arrived earlier than usual and took the extreme step. Chandrashekar did not leave a suicide note and according to co-workers, he was reportedly showing signs of depression. His wife Parimala also informed the cops about his delicate mental status.
The post mortem was conducted at the Dr B R Ambedkar Hospital and J B Nagar police are investigating the case.
