Ford Ikon shines in 2009 JD Power's India Initial Quality Study

Ford's entry-level sedan the Ikon scored highest in the entry mid-size segment,u00a0 according to the JD Power Asia Pacific 2009 India Initial Quality Study released recently. Despite new entrants and growing competition, Ford Ikon has come out as a clear winner in its segment.



Commenting on this achievement, Michael Boneham, president and managing director, Ford India, said, "The result speaks for itself. It's about a quantum leap in quality that our vehicles demonstrate and our laser-focus and commitment to produce world-class quality vehicles for this market that exceed customer expectations."

Earlier this year, both the Ikon and the Endeavour had won top scores for 2009 JD Power Vehicle Dependability in the entry midsize and SUV segment, respectively.
