LA-based band performance cancelled for performing past 10-pm deadline

It was a sad day for music lovers in the city. Thousands of spectators who had thronged to see LA-based Infected Mushrooms were sent home empty-handed, as the Mundhwa police walked in and asked the organisers to stop the show because it had crossed the 10 pm deadline.

According to a witness, the band had just come on stage at 10 pm and started to pluck the first strings.
Unfortunately, they could not enjoy the music for too long, because at around 10.30 pm, the police demanded that the place shut down.

Seeing that the performance was to be a no-show, fans asked for a refund from the organisers and that is when chaos and havoc broke loose.

To take charge of the situation, the police started a lathi-charge.

However, Mundhwa Crime Police Inspector Vishwas Bendhbhar refuted claims of a lathi charge.

However, the event organiser states differently. "We had sought permission before running this show but this incident still happened. The reason behind this was the changes in the senior positions," said Kunvar Bahattacharya, event organiser.
