The ongoing exhibition Kal Aaj aur Kal at Art2day Gallery showcases paintings by four artists from the same family
It's a common belief that talent flows in the family, from one generation to the next. And this thought goes well with the Zharotia family who are exhibiting their artworks at Art2day Gallery. 
A painting at the Kal Aaj aur Kal exhibition
The show titled Kal Aaj aur Kal features art by Professor Jai Zharotia, his eldest son Ajay Zharotia and his daughter-in-laws Shweta and Ritika Zharotia.
At this exhibition, you can check out various facets of art within a family where each one has their own style of expression and yet believe in the universal language of art.
In this family, art is not just a part of their culture but also a way of living. "I never asked anyone to become a painter but as I have been a professor at the College of Art for almost 35 years, my kids also joined art colleges and so did my daughter-in-laws.
I can now see my grandson following the same footsteps, says Jai Zharotia.The artworks will be a mix of themes; while Zharotia senior will showcase his thoughts captured on canvas, his son will be presenting the mythological era and daughter-in-law will showcase the Buddhist era. For all four participating artists, this will be their first group show in the city.
