The 2-month programme will give students the much-needed practical experience
Around 90 students from Kashmir were in the city for a two-month program to enhance their professional and soft skills.

The program which will help hundreds of students get placed at top IT companies was funded by the Jammu & Kashmir government. These students are sent in batches to get trained at Global Talent Tracku00a0-- an educational initiative and corporate training solutions company.
Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Minister of IT, Jammu & Kashmir was in city on Monday to invigilate the progress of the students.
Speaking to MIDDAY, "The students are part of the Kashmir university and they have picked by the faculties individually. They have been sent here to improve their professional skills and knowledge so that they get good placement."
Mehdi was happy because the first batch of students have received positive response from the corporate industry. "Some 20 boys and 13 girls have at least received calls from various companies. Hopefully they will be placed soon," he adds.
The students which includes both girls and boys beamed that the course has upgraded their knowledge and made them even more confident. "In Kashmir we don't have any IT company so there were no industrial experience. This program has helped us know the industry better," said Sana Gilani Khan, a student.

Film & Television Institute of India organised "World Theatre Day: From Stage to Screen"-- an exploration of Indian dance forms, as they transit from stage to the silver screen. The stage production on Sunday was part of FTII's ongoing Golden Jubilee Celebrations. Bharatnatyam exponent, Sayali Khare, showcased the diverse Indian dance forms and traced their journey to the mainstream film industry.
