importance of being politically correct when it comes to friends.
"Ye sab Devar, Bhabhi ke beech ki baat haiu2026.Hum to paraye hain," (The matter is between Amar Singh and his sister-in-law. Who am I to comment about it)," she said.
"She is a Rajya Sabha member and above all like my elder sister. I respect her. I would not like to say anything on this issue," said Jaya Prada when asked about Mrs Bachchan's decision to stick to her guns even after the Samajwadi Party expelled her mentor Amar Singh.u00a0
Jaya Prada was also expelled along with the former general secretary last month following a tiff with party supremo Mulayam Singh.
At a rally on Sunday, Amar Singh had said that the way Jaya Bachchan misses him, he also misses her. The rally, organised in Delhi, was attended by Jaya Prada and Sanjay Dutt also.
However, barely two days after the rally Singh was spotted sharing a dais with Amitabh Bachchan at a function in Pune.
When asked about the recent controversy triggered by Amitabh Bachchan becoming brand ambassador for Gujarat, she said, "Amitji is an iconic figure. Whatever he does is meaningful...Also, he has associated himself with a state not the chief minister in person," the former Samajwadi Party MP said.
