Bindass launches a new fictional show about five interns at a media company. Meri Toh Lag Gayi...Naukri aspires to deliver a slice-of-life encounter about first jobs in Mumbai, but is it going to work?
It's your first day on the job at Jhakaas TV, and if you haven't been blinded by the neon bright walls that line the path to your desk, you'll do just fine working with the colourful personnel on Bindass' new show Meri Toh Lag Gayi...Naukri.
You are first introduced to the other internsu00a0-- young and clueless, perfectly in character, perhaps.
Ayaan played by Ayaz Ahmed is the South Mumbai brat who will provide you with a list on 'how to get fired'. 
"Personally I'm very different from my character. I enjoyed my first internship at a radio station and learned a lot," says Ahmed.
Ravi Ranjan or RR played by Tapan Singh is a first time actor whose character milks the stereotype of a small town boy from Bihar. His only legacy is perhaps his body odour.
Sonika Tomar is the quintessential pretty girl (Priyanka Chibber) and Abhishek Ohri plays Cherry, a loudmouth Punjabi munda. After they are done with their endless rant of "Oye, how's you, yaar?", there really isn't much else left to say.
Neha Singh describes her character Ami as a "plump" girl. The 22 year-old says, "I'm very young so I've never done an internship but this job is like a picnic."
Twenty nine year-old writers Alok Sharma and Mukul Srivastava claim they understand the urban Indian youth. "We wanted to do a spoof on ourselves. Hence the channel Jhakaas," says Sharma.
Srivastava explains, "We realised that today's youngsters can be described with 5 F'su00a0-- friends, family, Facebook, finance and f**k."
With a theory this solid, Freud himself would anticipate each episode of Meri Toh Lag Gayi ufffdNaukri. When you meet your bossesu00a0-- Raghav Shetty played by Rajesh Kherau00a0-- be sure not to stare at the ample clean-shaven man-cleavage, which might distract you from getting coffee for everyone in office (among other menial jobs that interns do).
Hari Sadu, (yes we all remember the name), is played by Ashwin Kaushal who's a big fan of Marilyn Monroe and her enormous talent. And yes, pay close attention to Shweta Dadhich who plays Ananhita Roy, a character loosely based on a Balaji TV producer.
Bindaas producers hope viewers will find an emotional connection with the show, but unless you intern with the loony toons, we doubt this show will remind you too much of your first job.
