Juvenile swiped Khare's car

Delhi police arrested a juvenile in the case of burglary which was committed at the house of Harish Khare, media adviser to the PM. Police also recovered the stolen Ford Fiesta from their possession

Delhi police arrested a juvenile in the case of burglary which was committed at the house of Harish Khare, media adviser to the PM. Police also recovered the stolen Ford Fiesta from their possession.



The incident came to light on June 29 when Khare reported to the police that, in the early morning when they woke up, they found the door of the balcony open and a laptop, a mobile phone and keys of the car were missing from the house and the vehicle was also missing from the compound. Accordingly police registered a case.

"During the probe CCTV footage of a camera installed outside an ATM booth, situated in the same premises were examined. The footage revealed that there was movement of two persons in the compound late at night.

One of the persons in the footage was carrying a laptop. After that, photographs were prepared on the basis of footage and were shown in nearby areas. We got information that a juvenile has committed this crime with the help of two associates," said IB Rani, DCP, North Delhi.

She added: "The vehicle was traced early Thursday morning at D-Block, Nehru Vihar. The juvenile involved in the crime was found inside the car. We apprehended him and recovered the stolen laptop, two mobile phones and cash Rs 4500."
