A lab technician of KEM hospital, who was earlier charged by 12 women staff members of the same department with sexual harassment, has been declared innocent
Ashok Bhokre, a technician from the Central Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory at BMC-run KEM hospital at Parel who had been accused of subjecting the women to sexual harassment, coming drunk to work and passing lewd comments on the women staff, earlier this month, has apparently been declared innocent by the committee of the hospital that was investigating the matter.u00a0

Bhokre, who was all along denying the allegations by his women colleagues, was transferred to the pathology department soon after the enquiry against him began.
After getting cleared of all charges now, Bhokre has been given an option of either continuing in the pathology department or returning to CCBL, according to sources.
The dean of the hospital, Dr Shubhangi Parkar confirmed that Bhokre was declared innocent by the sexual harassment committee.
