Karnataka Congress attacks Mayawati

The Karnataka unit of Congress today staged a protest against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for her reported derogatory comments on Mahatma Gandhi.

Demanding Mayawati's resignation for allegedly describing Gandhi as a "naatakbaaz" (fake), the protesters burnt her effigy and raised slogans condemning her.
