Chandrakala, a security guard at Bowring Hospital can finally heave a sigh of relief.

A day after after her two-year-old child Lakshmi was stolen from Bowring Hospital's ward ('Guard's daughter stolen from ward,' June 29), relatives found Lakshmi unharmed at J P Nagar at around 5.10 pm.

According to a police official, Lakshmi was found in the custody of Narayamma. "The accused said that she took Lakshmi because she was all alone. She was visiting the hospital for some reason when she kidnapped the child."

Safe at home
Lakshmi is safe at home with her family. Chandrakala (30) worked as a security guard at Bowring. As there was no one to take care of her child, she left Lakshmi in the corridor, only to find the baby missing, on her return.
