Claims she's received threats to her life after her scathing attack on Renukacharya in an interview
Nurse Jayalakshmi, who publicised pictures of minister Renukacharya kissing her two years ago and launched a scathing attack against him on Friday when he was made a minister, is now living under police protection as her comments have brought threats to her life.

"He behaves like a monkey once he is drunk," she had said. "I am a victim of his mania. He was forcing me to marry him and had driven me to commit suicide."
Police extend cover
Soon after the interview was published, Jayalakshmi started receiving threatening calls. The police have now given her security cover, with three constables guarding her residence at Malleswaram.
"This is not the first time that I have received dirty calls. But, it has reached a crescendo following the press interview," she told the police.
Armed guards?
She had returned to the city from Malaysia only a few months ago.
She hopes the police will now provide her with armed guards, said a source.
The source added that she is planning to launch a public protest against Renukachaya and is expected to invite Shobha Karandlaje, the woman close to Chief Minister Yeddyurappa.
Karandlaje had lost her ministerial berth after Renukacharya spearheaded a dissidence against her and made Yeddyurappa oust her as a truce condition.
Renukacharya remained unavailable for comment.
