Nashik: Four persons were injured in tribal-dominated Khunticha village at Dindori here when they were attacked by a leopard, which was subsequently killed by villagers, officials said today.

The incident took place yesterday when the wild cat attacked on Kisan Zavru Bhoye (60) in an agricultural field leaving him severely wounded, Anita Patil, Deputy Forest Conservator told reporters today.
Bhoye was quickly rushed to a primary health centre here and later shifted to Nashik civil hospital for treatment, she said.
Three others were also injured in the incident when they were trying to save Bhoye, said Police Inspector of Peint police station, Vithal Sase.
Meanwhile, villagers gathered on the spot and began stoning the animal resulting in its death following which a forest department team arrived there and took away the carcass for post mortem.
