The girlfriend of a 24-year-old youth, whose body was found on July 4 at Ashok Nagar area, is being interrogated by Badarpur police. The deceased was in a live-in relationship with the woman.

A police official said soon after the victim, Amit Kumar Sharma, went missing, the girlfriend had gone back to Aligarh from where they both belonged.u00a0u00a0

On July 3, Amit was invited by the three friends to an evening party. After having food and liquor together, the friends had dropped him at Nehru Place metro station.

"Amit called his mother after getting down at the station and was talking to her when all of a sudden she heard a strange noise and the call got disconnected. When she tried to call back, she failed.

She then informed his friends who went back to find out what had happened. But they could not find Amit anywhere. They then filed a missing complaint with the police," said the official. The cop said Amit had come to Delhi around a year ago and was preparing for the IAS exam.
