After working with several high-profile banks as senior executive for a few years, Asif Qureshi decided to broaden his horizons. His luck ran out when Delhi Police arrested him and two of his aides for selling off 50 used bikes of loan defaulters with the help of forged documents.

Qureshi used to sell the two wheelers which were recovered by Dharmender Solanki and Suresh Yadav for their financial companies to innocent buyers who were not aware that the documents were fake.

"We have recovered 11 bikes now and earlier in January, East District Police had recovered 25 bikes. Some 50 motor bikes have already been sold by the trio of Asif Qureshi, Dharmender Solanki and Suresh Yadav. We have caught Asif Qureshi but we are still looking for the other two," said Prabhakar, DCP (East Delhi).

In a similar case, Crime Branch of Delhi Police busted an interstate gang of auto lifters and seized seven luxury cars with forged documents and fake number plates from them. The accused have been identified as Manoj Rathi, Ashok Kumar and Vijaydeep.

"During interrogation we found out that they used to steal cars from Delhi and Haryana and after this they prepared forged documents for these vehicles with help from Sachin who is from Shahdara, Delhi," said Ashok Chand, DCP (Crime and Railways).
