Out of 1,200 applicants that were expected to attend the workshop, only 750 turned up for the event. NK Sudhanshu, chief officer of Mumbai Board, MHADA, said, “The intention of the workshop was to ensure applicants are not hassled during the online submission procedure. We were happy with the response. The demonstration showed participants how to scan and upload documents.”
New software
The software, which MHADA has prepared for online submission of documents, will be up in the next 20 days. The list of documents, which are required to prove their eligibility to get the house include domicile certificate, pan card, birth certificate and income certificate.
Presently, the bank in affiliation with MHADA has been conducting the scanning of the documents. To make the process smoother, MHADA also plans to set up a call centre.u00a0
