The inquiry launched by MIT Junior College after a complaint of ragging by the parents of a girl student is still not completed after seven days, the time the principal had said it would take to look into the allegation.
According to the college, the delay was the result of the father of the victim telling the inquiry committee that his daughter was still in trauma and would not be able to give her version of what had happened.u00a0

The college constituted a seven-member fact-finding committee on Monday last week after the parents of the victim said she had faced ragging from three girl classmates. The parents had given a written complaint to the college.
MIT Junior College Principal Dr Rohini Patwardhan said: “The girl’s father has submitted a written application on September 7 asking an additional time period of 15 days before registering his daughter’s side in the case.”
She said the accused girls had already put their stand before the committee. u00a0
