The buses are being used during October 12 and 14 for transporting voting machines, documents, staff and police personnel for the Assembly Elections, MSRTC Public Relations Officer Mukund Dhus said.
The details of the buses, on casual contract, are as follows: Mumbai Region 985, Raigad 199, Sindhudurg 108, Ratnagiri 308, Thane 156, Palghar 154 and Mumbai 60. Nashik Region 1373 - Ahmednagar 362, Dhule 258, Jalgaon 389 and Nashik 364 and Pune Region 2475 - Kolhapur 297, Pune 865, Sangli 447, Satara 330 and Solapur 536.
Aurangabad Region (1301) : Aurangabad 248, Beed 195, Jalna 150, Latur 170, Nanded 243, Osmanabad 123 and Parbhani 172 Amravati Region (747): Amravati 215, Akola 188, Buldhana 170 and Yavatmal 174 and Nagpur Region (919) : Bhandara 223, Chandrapur 238, Nagpur 371 and Wardha 87 To ensure smooth movement of MSRTC buses during this period, a apecial control room is operating from MSRTC Central Office in Mumbai and will coordinate with all the control rooms of Regional and divisional headquarters, Dhus said.
