The bench presided by Justice Harish Tandon granted the prayer to move the matter before it later in the day. Mitra was granted bail by Alipore court on Saturday and the minister, who was under treatment at state-run SSKM Hospital since February 11 owing to various illnesses. He was declared fit and discharged from hospital only the day after the bail was granted following his release order from Alipore Correctional Home, from where he had been shifted to the hospital.
Mitra was arrested by CBI for alleged complicity in the Saradha scam in December, 2014.
"Mitra complained of chest discomfort, pain and sweating and was attended to by a cardiologist at home and was advised hospitalisation," Woodlands Hospital Medical Superintendent Malti Purkait said. "He has been admitted under a cardiologist and is under observation," she said.
