A 24-year-old youth, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital after going into a coma, regained consciousness yesterday
But rather than celebrate the occasion with family and friends, he immediately assembled four accomplices and attacked a 26-year-old man who had put him in the stupor.

The incident took place near Warje Flyover in around 1.30 pm. The person who was killed in the assault has been identified as Deepak Sonawane, a resident of Sahyog Nagar in Warje area.
In this regard, Warje Malwadi police has arrested five men, including prime accused Mahavir Oval, who was battered by Sonawane three months ago over a long-standing row between the two. The others apprehended have been identified as Mandar Joshi, Sahil Shaikh, Raju Bansode and Anand Kharka -- all residents of Warje area.

According to the information given by inspector Sunil Darekar of Warje Malwadi police station, three months ago Sonawane and his brothers Jitendra and Akash had attacked Oval with sharp weapons, following which he landed up in hospital and later went into a coma owing to the grievous nature of his injuries.
