A man was brutally murdered last night on a busy road around 10.30 pm at Chamarajpet police station limits.
Fayaz Pasha (45), who was accompanied by his relative Mohammed Suhail Ahmed (20), was waiting for an autorickshaw when he was stabbed at Briand Square, just 100 metres away from the Central Crime Branch on Mysore road junction.
Pasha, a resident of Guddadahalli on Mysore Road, worked in a cotton factory (fibre opening unit) at Cottonpet, was on his way home with Ahmed.
Stabbed
"While we were waiting for an autorickshaw, two unidentified youth aged between 22 and 25 years came up to us.

But, I by the time I returned to the spot, they had already stabbed my uncle Fayaz for no reason. Later, I got to know that the police had shifted him to Victoria Hospital for treatment," said Suhail.
Succumbed
Pasha suffered two stab injuries, one on his neck and the other on the left side of his chest. He was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
"Fayaz was conscious and was talking to us. We thought it was not a serious injury but he was bleeding a lot.
The doctors could have saved him had he received treatment in time," said one of the relative.
Clueless
Police Inspector B G Rathnakar from Chamarajpet police station said, "Our on-duty officials had just crossed the junction and on hearing about the incident, they rushed Pasha to Victoria Hospital for treatment.
We don't have any clue about the men who murdered Pasha and have registered a case of murder."
He added, "There is another eyewitness in this case and we have spoken to him. He is a worker in a nearby hotel.
We will have to question him further and then proceed with the investigations. So far, the reason for the murder is unknown."
