The incident took place in south Delhi's Safdarjung Enclave area on Thursday, police said.
"The incident was reported around 10 p.m. when the victim was spotted lying in a pool of blood by a passer-by on the busy Ring Road at Safdarjung Enclave (south Delhi)," a police official said.
"He (victim) was taken to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) trauma centre by the passer-by but was declared brought dead," he added.
Police said the man, identified as Amit Bhirwani, worked at a cable company in a nearby area and was a resident of Faridabad.
None of his belongings were missing which points towards personal rivalry, police added.
However, the family members told police that he had no enmity with anyone.
Police have registered a case and are probing the matter.
