Mane's fate will be decided today

The Sessions Court will pronounce its judgment in the sensational Santosh Mane road rampage case today.

The Crime Branch, after investigating the case, had filed a charge sheet against Mane. During the hearing, the prosecution examined 39 witnesses, while defence examined two people.

On the morning of January 25 last year, MSRTC bus driver Santosh Mane hijacked a state transport bus from Swargate Depot and went amok in the city, knocking down nine persons and injuring over 30 others, besides damaging 25 vehicles.u00a0

The police and citizens managed to stop the bus near Neelayam Theatre Bridge after a hot pursuit lasting 45 minutes on the15 km stretch.u00a0
