She said as ‘indecorous’ remarks made against the community by those holding high offices are ignored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.
She also attacked ‘communal forces’ for ‘demolishing the Babri Mosque’ this day in 1992, which coincides with the death anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar.
In addition, Mayawati referred to the disputed structure at Ayodhya as ‘Babri Masjid’.
However, experts feel that these are Mayawati’s attempts at consolidating the Dalit-Muslim vote ahead of the UP Assembly polls in 2017.
She said while on the one hand Parliament is discussing commitment towards the Constitution to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar, ministers, governors and other leaders of the Narendra Modi government are insulting Dalits and backwards from the minority community.
