The veterinary officer in his report said, “Prima facie it seems that meat found in Dadri lynching victim’s house belongs to goat progeny.”
The report also said that samples have been taken for final diagnosis, and have been sent to the forensic laboratory in Mathura.
The report comes less than a week after the Gautambudh Nagar Police charged 15 people, including a minor, in this case.
Akhlaq (50) was killed and his son Danish (20) was beaten by a mob after rumours spread that the family had consumed and stored beef in their house at Bishara village in Dadri on September 28.
