A moderate earthquake rattled the Meghalaya Capital this morning, Met official said.

The epicentre of the quake, measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale, was located about 13 km away from the Central Seismological Observatory in Upper Shillong.
There was no report of any damage and casualty. The tremor was felt at around 7.47 am.
