Deepa, a resident of Shivprasad Society on Sinhagad road, has also alleged that police did not heed to her requests of proper investigations into the matter and instead threatened to arrest her.
Deepa told MiD DAY, "Karmarkar has had illicit relations with Pushpa Gaikwad (Randive) from Baramati since the last 10 years. During this period he has beaten me and my mother Rohini (61) and brother Rahul (31) several times."
Karmarkar owns Sahwas Hall on Sinhagad road and Rahul lodge in Shukrawar Peth. While Deepa has completed her B Com, her brother Rahul is a broker.
Deepa also alleged that officials from Dattawadi chowkey police did not heed to her complaints and acted biased.
"I had discussed the issue with Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh earlier, and he had promised to take action. But that didn't happen," Deepa said.
An official from the Dattawadi police chowkey said, "Deepa had given a statement to the Swargate division ACP on June 26 saying that she would not contact her father hereafter. She had still gone to Karmarkar's house on Sunday and demanded money."
