Molested girl thrown out of moving Mercedes

A 25-year woman (name withheld) was thrown out of a moving Mercedes car in the posh DLF Phase 2 area of Gurgaon late on Tuesday night. She has alleged that three to four men in the vehicle had tried to rape her. Cops said she appeared to be from a well-to-do family. DLF Phase 2 Station House Officer (SHO) Babulal told MiD DAY that a case has been registered under sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The incident occurred at around 10 pm yesterday. Passers-by saw the girl thrown out of the dark-coloured vehicle in M-block of DLF Phase 2.

Getting treatment
The victim, who is from Bihar, was immediately taken to the nearby Paras Hospital. She hasn't confirmed the identity of the assailants. The victim works with a real estate dealer. The employer said that the girl had left the office at around 8 pm to show a rented accommodation in Vasant Kunj to a prospective client. He later received a phone call about the incident. The employer however, failed to provide details about this client.

'She put up a fight'
A police official said that a medical examination has been conducted; results are awaited. He said that it was a case of attempted rape, and the girl, who's reasonably well-built, had put up a fight.
