Chellidaru Sampigeya, directed by S Narayan, is a frame-to-frame remake of Telugu blockbuster Chandamama. Very loud and utterly out of step with definitions and dimensions of courtship and romance, the film doesn't really have much else going for it.
What's it about: It's the story of four youngsters who sit around and do nothing. Indeed, their biggest decision seems to be whether or not to get married and the synopsis is all about clearing that confusion. Soumya (Bianca Desai), daughter of landlord Swamy Gowda (Ananth Nag) is all set to tie the knot with Puttaraju (Prashanth), who also hails from a well-to-do family and from the same village. Puttaraju is all excited about the marriage. But his dreams of marrying the beautiful lass are short lived as he gets to know that his fiancu00c3u00a9 had an affair with a guy called Kishore (Vishal) during her college days. Sowmya too confesses that she had been in love with Kishore, who apparently 'cheated' her. Puttaraju then sets on tracking down Kishore to teach him a lesson for cheating Soumya.
What's Hot: The entire cast has done a neat job and amongst them Sundar Raj and Doddanna stand out. They are thoroughly impressive.
What's Not: The script is downright awful at times. So are the camerawork and music of the movie.
