The deceased was identified as Rajiv Vinod Shah of Mumbai.u00a0One person criticalu00a0One of the injured, Shilpa Bakshi from Aundh in the city, was reportedly critical.u00a0The police said Shah was a builder who lived in Goregaon in Mumbai.u00a0According to the information given by the highway police, first a car travelling in the Pune-Mumbai lane was forcefully hit by a truck from behind.u00a0

The impact was such that the car broke the median and landed up on the other side, coming in the way of vehicles moving in the opposite direction.u00a0The police said the car u00a0that had crossed over then caused a crash between another car and a bus.u00a0The other seriously injured person was identified as Rekesh Pande (27), a resident of Kandivli in Mumbai.
