Condition of the Rajya Sabha MP, who was admitted on Monday night, stable
Hearing on the bail plea of Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh, arrested for his alleged involvement in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam, was adjourned till September 15 by a Delhi court yesterday.

The hearing on bail pleas of two former BJP MPs, Mahabir Singh Bhagora and Faggan Singh Kulaste, also arrested for the scam, was deferred to September 29. Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal ordered the jail and AIIMS authorities to furnish a report on Singh's condition by noon today.
Meanwhile, Dr Y K Gupta, official spokesperson AIIMS, said, "Singh was brought to AIIMS at 8.06 pm on Monday, after being referred by LNJP and GB Pant hospitals. He was admitted at 9.12 pm." Dr Sanjay Gupta, additional professor, department of Nephrology, who is looking into the MP's case said, "We found he has fever and diarrhoea along with urinary tract infection. His creatine level has also been fluctuating."
