Residents see red over MTNL’s inefficiency
Nearly 850 customers of telecom service provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) in Marine Drive have lost their Internet and landline connections since over two months.

Nina Shah, who lives in Shyam Sadan building, bakes desserts and chocolates on order and said she was constantly in touch with the MTNL officials since her landline and Internet stopped working. “I work from home since 20 years and receive my orders over the telephone. This time, none of my customers could get in touch with me for Diwali orders,”
she said.
RVK Nair, sub-divisional engineer of the area, said, “There is an issue with the cable wiring. We are trying to resolve the problem and only about 160 connections are yet to be restored. It will be done in a week.”
