According to the police as soon you will dial 100 to report your complaint or case the screen at the control room will display all the details of the caller. It will even show the real time positing of the caller.
Some telecom operators held a meeting with the Superintendent of Police (City) Anant Dev, discussing the model to share details of cellphone users with the cops. The plan is still in the initial stages and many levels of conferences are yet to be conducted, but Noida police is very upbeat about the project.
Anant Dev said: "There were only a few telecommunications company and soon we will have a meeting with the rest.u00a0 Most people call PCR through their mobile phone so this project will be very useful. The technology will enable us to immediately get the location of the caller and the PCR van near the caller will sent to the spot without delay. This will also help us in nabbing hoax callers."
Saving time
This technology will not only reduce the response time and increase efficiency but will also become a bane for crank callers. Noida police have been troubled with hoax calls and cops are now seeing this as a ray of hope which will help them locate and put the caller on surveillance.
The technology works similar to surveillance technology which will tell the real time position of the caller. From location to other details, everythingu00a0 will be on the computer screen installed at control room. The technology will also give out other numbers issued on the same identity.
