The word "nasty" loses its menacing tone when it is attached to "peach", as we discovered when we got chatting with Noam Levinberg, Nastypeach's soundman and owner of Rightway-Records. This Tel Aviv-based band will be performing in the city this week. When we quizzed them on their quirky band name, Levinberg stated that it refers to a fiery drink. "We had a bet on who can survive only on this drink and Ben, the guitarist, lasted three months, so the name stuck."

Noam defines Nasty as a band that consists of good friends having fun making music out of different styles. And believe it or not, it is a 9-piece band that plays a mix of Junk, Soul and Rock.
Lately, they are working with world known producer Patrick Sebag (known for the Laya Project, Kartick & Gotam, Eti Ankri, Shirat Rabim, Peter Gabriel remixer) on a new full-length 12 song album due to be released by August 2010.
Their inspiration comes from a number of singers like John Mayer, Erica Badu and Jeremy Coulm. At HRC, they will mostly play originals and covers as well as a special track especially for India.
