Picking up the best: First, shop for saplings locally, because the plants that you buy from a different location may not adapt to local climate and soil conditions. It's always advisable to stick to one particular nursery since gardeners provide valuable information about plants and problems easily to loyal customers. Instead of weekends, it would be better if you visit the nursery on a Thursday or Friday, when nurseries receive new plants.
Try buying in bulk to get discounts. Nurseries also guarantee the success of plants, failing which the plants are replaced, so make sure you confirm the guarantees and free services. Inspect roots of the specimens and the overall sapling for any visible disease, weakness or signs of pests before buying, and once you return home, keep them in open space so that they can breathe, and water them before planting if needed.

When to buy: Don't buy fully grown plants. Instead, buy them when they are young. First of all, when plants that you have nurtured for long bear flowers, it gives you a sense of pride, which is not the case when you purchase a mature plant. Secondly, plants with flowers shed very soon.
Take care:u00a0 Make sure that plants are getting their share of sunlight and air. It's always advisable to place flowerpots where temperature is lower than usual. If shedding increases, it could be because of the rapidly changing temperature. Call an expert. Sprinkling water on leaves, rather than the roots, is of no use. Instead of evening, watering should be done in the morning. Remove flowers as soon as they start wilting, else, they would transmit diseases. Clean dust on the leaves and trim dry shoots regularly.
